A fired singer and theater teacher at an Indiana school has been arrested for allegedly filming himself masturbating in his classroom and sending the video to teenage girls, according to police.
According to court documents, 28-year-old Kayvon H. Imtiaz solicited multiple 13-year-old girls via social media that he was a “naughty teacher who fantasizes about his students all the time.” Received by Fox59,
According to the documents, he then saved some of the footage obtained from underage girls to use during his lewd fantasies.
Police in Avon, a suburb west of Indianapolis, began an investigation in September after receiving a cybertip from Snapchat that a “trusted individual” was downloading child pornography in the area.
Around the same time, investigators heard rumors that a teacher in the Avon School District was masturbating inside the schools.
Police executed search warrants on two Snapchat accounts, “kavman105” and “fiftyshadedaddy.” According to the documents, files saved on those accounts included videos of a man masturbating behind a desk in what “appears to be a music classroom.”
Investigators said the videos were being sent to other accounts on the app. Other files discovered included videos of underage girls having sex.
According to court documents, Imtiaz told the 13-year-old girls that he was from Indiana and fantasized about holding his female students behind closed doors after class and abusing them.
Investigators said the Internet server used by the teacher was connected to several other social media accounts with the name “Kemtiaz”.
The Indianapolis resident was interviewed by police last Thursday where he admitted to using both Snapchat accounts. He confessed that he had interacted with underage girls on the app but he could not remember all of them specifically.
He said he saved videos of underage girls to masturbate to when he fantasized about his students.
After the interview police searched his phone and found the exact child porn files sent to him by one of the 13-year-old girls in the “Hidden” section of his Photos app.
Imtiaz was booked on 10 counts of possessing child pornography, two counts of inciting children and one count of indirect sexual gratification.
He walked out of jail Monday after a preliminary court hearing after posting $40,000 bond. A jury trial has been set for February 10, 2025, Fox59 reports.
Emtiaz taught at three different elementary and middle schools in the Avon Community School Corporation between November 2019 and December 2022, but continued to work as a choir and theater coach in the district.
As soon as the school learned of the allegations, his extracurricular status was “immediately terminated.”
“We are unaware of these allegations and any allegations involving Avon students,” district spokesperson Kevin Carr told the outlet.
