It seems eating isn’t the only thing Cookie Monster does very quickly.
A police camera captured the bizarre moment a motorist speeded through an intersection in Germany – while wearing a blue, biscuit-loving children’s character costume.
“The fun of wearing a mask from ‘The Muppet Show’ can quickly turn serious,” police spokesman Peter Banderman told Newsflash, describing the incident.
Did they ignore the “Sesame Street” signs?
The photo, taken on September 20 in the western city of Dortmund, Westfalia, shows the googly-eyed character driving an Audi at 60 mph – which was 10 mph faster than the posted speed limit.
The combination of speed and ridiculous costume led police to believe that the Cookie Monster cosplayer — whose identity had yet to be revealed — intentionally put herself on camera for the shameless lie.
However, he believes that the stunt is no laughing matter.
Banderman said, “It won’t help the relatives of the person who was killed if the person who did it shows remorse in court over his maskless revelry.”
If officers detect the shaggy-suited troll, he will be fined $50.
This isn’t the first time Cookie Monster has engaged in questionable behavior.
In 2023, Officials instructed residents of Santa Cruz, In California, in order to avoid interacting with a man who had a foul character, he was seen shouting obscenities and taunting locals while strolling the boardwalk of a coastal town.
The cretin also reportedly harassed parents into paying to have their children photographed.
“We’re getting calls from people who say he’s ‘creepy,'” police spokeswoman Joyce Blaschke said in a statement to The Post. “Based on his history, we advise the public not to engage with this individual. Stay away from him.”
