A woman has gone viral after sharing that she and her fiancé are planning to allow their wedding guests to choose their own married surname – and strangers online love it. they wrote songs about it,
Danielle Bonadonna and Jacob Bartlebaugh are both very attached to their last names and can’t decide what they want to be called when they tie the knot.
Last month, Bonadonna Revealed on TikTok The couple is considering combining their nicknames and people seem to be loving it.
“People are making monkeys at the idea that we could be named the Bonadonna-Bartlebaughs,” she said in a follow-up video Sharing a nickname that sounds more like mumbling than a legal name.
“I don’t even know if people will be able to f–king say that,” She mentioned in another video,
Unable to make the decision themselves, the unsure couple have decided to allow their wedding guests to vote on whether or not they should add their names when their ceremony takes place in February.
“Because the thing is, we both really love our nicknames,” she explained. “None of us want to give up our last name, and yes, we’re just going to have our guests vote on it.”
The bride-to-be explained that she wasn’t willing to give up her last name, but that she wouldn’t mind adding her fiancé’s name to the end of her name.
“I’ve been called ‘Bonadonna’ all my life, and so that’s what I’m known by, and so everyone calls me ‘Bona’ or ‘Bonadonna.’ She explained in a video“And so it almost feels like changing my first name in a really weird way, like I can’t imagine not officially having ‘Bonadonna’ in my name, but I would be happy to include or add her name ”
He also said that while some people were concerned about their future children, the couple may not have children.
“It is not an issue. You don’t have to worry about little Bonadonna-Bartlebaughs traveling around the world,” she said.
Since posting the original video she has revealed that she loved the “fun and silly” name and hopes her loved ones will vote for it. Her fiancé is also supportive of the combination – it was her idea.
But the couple aren’t the only ones who like the unique nickname.
