'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend', 'Jane the Virgin' and 'iZombie' will leave Netflix in September 2024

Netflix in the United States is about to lose three major shows from The CW, which came to Netflix with new seasons throughout their run.

Let us take a look at the three shows that will soon be leaving Netflix US:

• Crazy Ex Girlfriend (Seasons 1-4 – 62 episodes) was a romance musical comedy starring Rachel Bloom that won several awards throughout its run between 2015 and 2019. It is about a highly educated lawyer who quits her job to pursue an old love.
• jane the virgin (Seasons 1–5 – 100 episodes) is a comedy-drama starring Gina Rodriguez about a young girl who is artificially inseminated during a routine check-up.
• iZombie (Seasons 1-5 – 71 episodes) – A comedy procedural starring Rose McIver, Malcolm Goodwin and Rahul Kohli, this series is adapted from the DC comic book series and follows a doctor who becomes a medical examiner after becoming a zombie. She also developed the ability to solve cases after eating brains.

CBS Television Studios and Warner Bros. Television produced all three shows, except iZombiewhich was entirely produced by WBTV. Our guess is that all three shows will return to either Max or The CW, though keep an eye on their schedules for more information on that.

This removal only applies to Netflix in the United States, with many of these regions having already removed the trio of shows. In fact, Netflix UK removed the show early leave in 2023,

When are the shows being removed? A removal notice currently appears on all devices for all three shows, stating that your “last day to watch” is September 5. The actual removal is planned for September 6.

All of the shows are being removed approximately five years after their final season was added to Netflix, and this applies to all shows that came to Netflix through a larger overall deal Netflix made with the network during the 2010s.
