They were busy making a “grinder.”
Booty calls? A hungry customer nearly lost their lunch after going out for sandwiches and discovering that the employee on duty was out making whoopie, according to a shocking Reddit thread.
“I seemed to have lost my appetite for a good ol’ fashion ballpark wiener,” quipped the unnamed Redditor while describing the literal not-safe-for-work saga.
An accompanying photo showed the sign they encountered on their alleged sandwich run, which read: “Closed for sex. Be back in 30 minutes.”
Needless to say, the Redditariat was appalled and amused that the worker abandoned their post so they could heed the call of booty.
“Weird flex but I respect it,” said one bemused viewer, while another wrote, “Good enough reason to close down the store.”
A third fretted, “Hopefully not the food prep area.”
“Who loves the quick e mart? I dooooo,” joked a fourth.
Others were skeptical of the raunchy hero maker’s longevity with one writing, “‘Back in 30mins’ that’s a bit optimistic. Must be a 10-min drive home.’”
“Amateur. I just need 3 minutes,” said another.
Unfortunately, a surprising number of employees in the US are apparently having hanky panky on the job without the courtesy of posting a “sex break” advisory.
A September 2023 report found that a quarter of employees who work remotely are having sex during the boss’s time— and naughtily using the “fire,” “smoke,” “sandwich” and “headphones” emojis in their virtual work statuses while enjoying their extracurricular pursuits.
