Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo will star in the upcoming live-action film adaptation of the Broadway musical Wicked.
In November 2021, it was announced that Grande would play Glinda opposite Erivo’s Elphaba in the long-awaited big screen adaptation of The Wizard of Oz prequel. The film stars Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, and Jeff Goldblum as The Wizard. Other cast members include Keala Settle, Bowen Yang, Marissa Bode and Ethan Slater.
Director Chu previously mentioned that Wicked will be divided into two films, with the first part arriving in November 2024 and the next part scheduled for next year.
They recently appeared in a promo and both looked dangerously thin.
