Dave Grohl has publicly revealed he cheated on his wife and fathered a child with another woman, after one man stood up for him.
The 55-year-old Foo Fighters frontman's ex-girlfriend, Jennifer Finch, came to his defense following the birth of the baby.
he told TMZ Grohl is doing everything he can to make things right with his wife Jordyn Blum (whom he married in 2003) and their three daughters: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.
Finch was in the punk rock band L7 and dated the “Best of You” singer in the '90s. She claimed they have remained close since their breakup.
She described Grohl as a top-notch father and friend and alleged that she has lived with him and knows the workings of the family as she has recently toured with him.
In June 2023, Foo Fighters announced a five-city stadium tour in the United Kingdom. They later added a date and extended the tour with a 10-city North American leg in the summer of 2024.
Don't expect Grohl's ex-wife to spill her dirty secrets anytime soon.
Finch said she will keep what she knows to herself until her youngest child — who has come forward — turns 18.
Grohl made the sensational baby revelation earlier this week that he had cheated on his wife and had a daughter with someone else.
“I recently became a father to a newborn daughter, born outside of my marriage,” Grohl said. In a statement via Instagram on Tuesday, September 10. “I plan on being a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”
“We are grateful for your consideration for all the children involved as we move forward together,” he concluded.
A rep for Grohl told The Post that the musician had no additional comment.
Though the rocker has made it clear he's hoping to mend his family dynamics, sources tell People that he hired a divorce attorney before making the baby announcement.
Interestingly, his wife was spotted without a wedding ring in August – just a few weeks before his public confession; however, she accompanied him to the Wimbledon Tennis Championships on July 2.
Blum has remained quiet about her husband's infidelity, but it appears her eldest daughter has deleted her Instagram profile amid the drama.
Grohl, on the other hand, has not refrained from speaking out on the controversy. After a photo of an infant named Roxy Junie Grohl went viral, which an Instagram user claimed was the singer's daughter, Grohl's rep told TMZ that the image was fake.
“My darling Roxy Junie Grohl, being your mom has been the most incredible experience of my life,” the photo was captioned. “Every day, I fall more in love with you and this new role. Your daddy was by my side throughout my pregnancy, making sure we were both taken care of, and I am so grateful for his love and support.”
“As much as I want to share our joy with the world, I also need to protect our privacy right now,” the caption read. “I'm glad everyone knows about you, because you are a special part of my life.”
