Dave Grohl's friendliness towards the opposite sex has reportedly been an issue in his marriage for years – long before he admitted to cheating on his wife and fathering a child with another woman.
The 55-year-old Foo Fighters frontman made the shocking announcement last week, revealing he had strayed during his 21-year marriage to Jordyn Blum and gotten pregnant by a mystery woman, who recently gave birth to his fourth daughter.
While Grohl said he would do everything to win the trust of his wife and children, sources reported that his “flirtatious behavior” was already a point of contention in their relationship.
Jordan was reportedly “shocked when he found out about the baby,” an insider told Fox News told the people “Her friends are like family, and they stood by her after the news broke,” he said Monday.
But their marriage was not that good.
“Dave's flirty behavior is taking a toll on their marriage. It's been hurtful for Jordan,” the source alleged.
And while fans and Jordan were surprised by the baby's birth, those close to the couple weren't surprised at all.
“We keep reading over and over how sad everyone is because Dave was supposed to be the 'nice guy,' the rockstar who didn't have to do rockstar things,” an insider with knowledge of the situation tells PEOPLE. “And people are crazy about the guy, but he has a rockstar side, too.”

The “Times Like These” singer dropped a double blow in a lengthy statement on Tuesday, September 10.
“I recently became a father to a newborn daughter, born outside of my marriage,” Grohl said. via instagram“I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”
“We are grateful for your consideration for all the children involved as we move forward together,” he concluded.
Grohl married former model Jordan in August 2003. They have three children: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.
The rockstar had reportedly hired a lawyer to file for a divorce before coming out openly about his infidelity, which produced a child.
Signs of potential trouble between Grohl and Jordyn have been apparent in recent months. She was spotted without her wedding ring in August – just weeks before her public confession; however, they were together at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships on July 2.
The Foo Fighters frontman's announcement did not provide additional details about the child or the woman he cheated with — but a man posted a photo of an infant, claiming the child was his. Grohl's rep later addressed the allegations, calling the now-deleted post bogus.
“My darling Roxy Junie Grohl, being your mom has been the most incredible experience of my life,” the photo was captioned. “Every day, I fall more in love with you and this new role. Your daddy was by my side throughout my pregnancy, making sure we were both taken care of, and I am so grateful for his love and support.”
