“Deadpool & Wolverine” clawed its way to No. 1, earning $96 million on its opening day Friday, The Numbers reported.
The Marvel Studios flick which The Post called a “fantastic buddy comedy,” is on its way to a probable $400 million global opening, according to Forbes.
“Twisters,” which was in first place last Friday, spiraled down to second, with a sales of $10.23 million.
The disaster film is expected to earn $36 million this weekend, its second in theaters, as per Variety.
Universal’s “Despicable Me 4,” which was in second last week, fell down a notch to third, with $4.36 million in revenue.
Landing in the fourth spot was “Inside Out 2,” with a $2.5 million dollar take.
This week, the film took home the impressive title of highest-grossing animated film of all time, dethroning “Frozen II.”
In fifth was the horror film “Longlegs,” with sales of $2.2 million.
