His manager Marsha McManus has also paid tribute to the late star.
“He was extraordinary in every way,” McManus told People.
Bower was best known for portraying the janitor who helps John McClane (played by Bruce Willis) stop the terrorists at the airport in Die Hard 2.
At the end of the second Die Hard film, Bower is also seen driving John and his wife, Holly Gennero (Bonnie Bedelia) away on his airport cart after they reunited.
He also played Dr Curtis Willard on The Waltons from 1975 until his character was killed off in Pearl Harbour.
In 2022 he revealed the surprise reason why his character was dispatched.
“I asked for a very small raise, so they sent me to Pearl Harbour,” the actor told his co-star Judy Norton in a 2022 YouTube interview.
He began as an actor in the 1970s and has many credits to his name.
Other credits include Nixon (1995), and Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans (2009).
His final performance was in the 2023 series Lucky Hank.
