President-elect Donald Trump vows to overhaul “Democrat-controlled” Justice Department after President Biden Sunday forgave his troubled son Hunter.
“The failed witch hunt against President Trump has proven that the Democrat-controlled DOJ and other radical prosecutors are guilty of weaponizing the justice system,” Trump spokesman Steven Cheung said in a statement.
“The system of justice must be fixed and due process restored to all Americans, which is what President Trump will do when he returns to the White House with an overwhelming mandate from the American people.”
Cheung made no mention of Biden or Hunter after the controversial pardon.
Hunter, 54, is now out of custody as he is scheduled to be sentenced later this month on separate federal gun and tax evasion cases.
