An angry, intoxicated grandmother has been arrested for allegedly stabbing her daughter and grandson with a kitchen knife during an argument on Thanksgiving Day in Tennessee.
LaChunda Johnson, 55, of Memphis, grabbed the blade after yelling at her grandson for pushing her around about 3 a.m. on Nov. 28 and had been drinking heavily before charging at her daughter. Told Newsweek.
Memphis police told the outlet that Johnson cut off the victim’s left hand during the shock attack, then turned to his grandson and attacked him — leaving him with a knife wound near his thumb.
She fled the home in the city’s Westhaven area, but police later found and arrested her without incident near Kazasa Road. According to Action News 5.
Authorities brought him to Jail East, a complex 16 miles from Memphis, and charged him with aggravated assault and domestic assault.
Newsweek said three other children who were inside the home during the bloody affair were not hurt.
No bond was set for Johnson’s release.
