Ed Sheeran is an adventurous guy when it comes to food.
The singer-songwriter shocked some of his fans by uploading a video of himself trying an unusual delicacy while on tour in Osaka, Japan.

“Eating octopus balls in Osaka,” the video was captioned.
His friend explained to him that he was eating Takoyaki, a ball-shaped snack usually comprised of minced or diced octopus with tempura scraps, pickled ginger and green onion.
After shoving an octopus ball into his mouth, he paused for a few seconds.
“It’s alright,” he said hesitantly.
“Don’t know if I’d order it again.”
The rest of the video shows Sheeran going on something of a food tour throughout Osaka, trying food (and sake) after his friend tells him to “eat until you drop”.
In one restaurant, Sheeran tried okonomiyaki, a pancake dish filled with cabbage, eggs, and various spices.
“I obviously like sushi nigiri (raw fish), soba noodles, big fan of that, (Japanese food chain) CoCo Ichibanya curry,” Sheeran said, reeling off his knowledge of Japanese food.
“We should go there, they’re f****** good.”
The video then skipped to Sheeran posing for selfies with fans and getting ready to try sweet sake.
“I’ve never done sweet sake before,” he said.
“There’s a sweet one, a dry one,” his guide said, to which Sheeran responded: “I think we try all of them, don’t we?”
“You can have a whole bottle to yourself,” he tells his friend.
“I reckon I could do it (drink a whole bottle) over a whole night.”
Next, Sheeran was filming walking down a brightly lit street.
“Love Osaka,” he said.
“Love the beers.
“I wasn’t a fan of the octopus balls; I wouldn’t NOT have them again but …”
Sheeran’s fans admired his willingness to try them in the first place.
“Never knew they had ballz (sic), what an educational video to all,” one fan wrote.
“You are adventurous lol, I don’t think I could do it,” said another.
“You’re not really selling the octopus balls to me, if I’m honest,” admitted a third.
One fan joked: “How ballsy of you!”
Wrote another perplexed fan, “I am confused, did Ed Sheeran eat eggs where the babies hatch, or the other thing that males have?”
“I’ll stick with pizza,” said another.
One fan said they wanted to see more Ed Sheeran food reviews on Instagram.
Another said they had tried octopus balls and had a similar reaction to the Shape of You singer.
“I’ve eaten those!” the fan wrote.
“Also wouldn’t order again 😂.”
