Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy are starting a podcast — or “DogeCast” — to keep Americans updated about President-elect Donald Trump’s progress in running the Department of Government Efficiency.
The power duo will use it to provide regular updates on their goal of cutting government spending by up to $2 million, with DOGE expected to complete its mission by July 4, 2026.
“Elon and I are going to launch a separate track of ‘DogeCast’ that will explain what we are doing to the public to provide transparency on this once-in-a-generation project,” Ramaswamy said. ” said in a video Uploaded on his YouTube channel on Wednesday.
“We want to bring the public with us. To lift the curtain, to take us behind the curtain to what waste, fraud and abuse in government looks like,” he added. “No matter how bad you think it is, it’s probably worse.”

Ramaswamy said in his video that he has put his current podcast, “Truth,” on hold while working for DOGE.
Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency is a cost-cutting advisory board and not technically a federal department.
Its name Dogecoin is inspired by cryptocurrency and memes.
The two co-heads of DOGE have teased “massive cuts” to areas of the federal government they deem “bloated.”
While campaigning for Trump, Musk suggested that the government can reduce it broadly $6.75 trillion budget of approximately $2 trillion, an amount that exceeds all discretionary spending, including the military – approximately $1.6 trillion in fiscal year 2024.
Most government spending is considered mandatory and includes items such as Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and interest on the debt.
