Elon Musk is confident Vice President Kamala Harris will shut down

“Some of the boycotts are starting to be lifted and I think if Trump wins, I think we’ll probably see most of the boycotts lifted,” Musk said.
“But if Kamala wins, we will see the boycott strengthened. And they will be badly off (X).”
When asked if the Harris administration had any way to effectively shut down the platform, Musk said, “Who has?” Publicly endorsed Harris’ opponent, former President Donald Trump – answered clearly, “Uh, yes.”
“They can send the DOJ to (X),” he said.
“They have this whole thing about hate speech, misinformation, or whatever, but they are the ones pushing the misinformation. “It doesn’t stop them from filing massive lawsuits and using the DOJ.”
Elsewhere in the interview, the SpaceX founder acknowledged its $44 billion purchase of the social media platform as “a crazy move” and “too high a price” — but suggested it was needed amid fears of censorship.
“At the time, I think I said, ‘Look, this is existential for the United States.’ This is existential for democracy,” Musk said of his decision to acquire the company.
“If you don’t have freedom of speech, you don’t have democracy. If you don’t have freedom of speech, people can’t cast an informed vote. If they are only being given propaganda and there is no freedom of speech, then democracy is an illusion.”
