Eric Trump touts Biden-Harris government’s spending on migrants while hurricane victims suffer

Eric Trump, executive vice president of the Trump Organization and second son of former President Donald Trump, says he is fed up with “blank check” spending in Washington that is diverted to American citizens in favor of foreign wars and illegal immigrants.

“I just have to ask, I look around and ask: Why? Why are we funding all these bulls? How did we lose our priorities so badly?”

A 40-year-old Florida resident is campaigning against government overspending his father for years, but he says he felt a particular pinch during the hurricane that hit his home state last month.

“I sit here and just think: FEMA has no moneyCorrect? And they’ve only spent $330 million on hurricanes. And yet FEMA has spent $1.4 billion so far on illegal immigrants,” Trump said, referring to money spent on the agency’s “shelter and services program” for immigrants through 2022.

“And FEMA is not even the organization responsible for illegal immigration. It’s infuriating to think about,” he said.

But it’s about more than just disaster relief for the younger Trump, who says his father plans to dramatically cut spending “if elected next month.”

The middle Trump son will have a role in his father’s transition team if the former president wins on Nov. 5. He says he plans to toughen scrutiny of military spending if he manages to win back the White House.

“We are spending more than $200 billion on Ukraine. This is not magic money, this is taxpayers’ money,” Trump told The Post. “You know, I spend a lot of time in that part of the world. My mother was Eastern European. I care about it. But, now you go out there and you see these young, beautiful kids and they’re angry and shooting each other.

Trump is raising three young children with his wife Lara Trump, who is co-chair of the Republican National Committee. He told The Post that as a father he believes the United States needs to limit its role in foreign conflicts to protect children.

“I know how much time it takes to raise a child,” he told The Post. “I mean, it’s tens of thousands of hours. It’s the trips to the ice cream store, the time you give them when they go in the opposite direction. Correct? And so I know what destruction (war) is. This is a waste of potential. It is because of propaganda and guns that our government is funding billions. They are all just being led to their death.”

The war in Ukraine takes the lives of 600 children per year UN report published earlier this year,

State Department records show that the US has committed approximately 175 billion dollars Aiding Ukraine in its war with Russia, which is approaching the three-year mark in March. Biden last month Promised $425 million More military aid to Ukraine.

Meanwhile, American patience for foreign wars is running out.

per a July survey from Redfield and WiltonHalf of voters believe the US should either stop or reconsider supporting Ukraine. That figure has risen to 67% among Trump voters, while 53% of Harris voters say the US should maintain its support for Ukraine.

“It’s really just common sense,” Trump said. “We can’t really fight our way to a better world. He takes something big. It takes work.”
