After a disappointing second day of Geeked Week, we're back with a pretty busy third day, including One Piece, Squid Game, Twilight of the Gods, The Dragon Prince, and Don't Move.
On the first day of Geeked Week, we saw news about shows like Castlevania Nocturne, The Wolf King, and Gundam Requiem. Day two was surprising and largely short, with the biggest reveal being a clip from The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep animated movie. We also reported on live-action One Piece fans believing Netflix is teasing us with two new castings.
Day three is a busy one, featuring behind-the-scenes looks at One Piece , a new clip from Zack Snyder's animated series Twilight of the Gods , the Squid Game cast reading fan theories, and more.
Here's everything announced today at Netflix's Geeked Week Day 3:
Behind-the-scenes look at One Piece with Jeff Ward (Buggsy the Clown)
Jeff Ward went behind the scenes with the camera crew to give us a tour of One Piece production. From the costume department to the props department production design, we also got our first look at Loguetown's weapons shop, where Zoro will be looking for a new sword.
We also got to see the lighthouse that is Doctor Crocus' home, and production designer Max Gottlieb briefly discussed the production design of Drum Island. Winter never ends, making it challenging to film in a country where it never snows (South Africa).
Jeff also revealed the release year of One Piece Season 2, which has been bleeped out. Damn it!
New poster of thriller Don't Move
The film we're most excited to see as part of Netflix's Halloween lineup is the thriller Don't Move, directed by Adam Schindler and Brian Neto. The poster is sure to grab the attention of a person or two, and given its premise, we expect the film to perform strongly during its opening weekend.
Kelsey Asbille plays a grieving woman who, while seeking solace in a desolate forest, is attacked by a stranger and injected with a paralyzing agent. As the agent begins to work its way through her body, she must escape capture and fight for her life before her entire nervous system shuts down and her body is at the mercy of serial killer Finn Wittrock.
don't move will arrive on Netflix on October 25, 2024.
Extended clip from Zack Snyder's animated series Twilight of the Gods
Zack Snyder's take on Norse mythology, Twilight of the Gods, is one of the most unique animated films coming to Netflix in 2024. The series revolves around Leif, a mortal king who is saved in battle by the beautiful iron-willed warrior Sigrid. After falling in love with Sigrid, their wedding night is ruined when Thor, the god of thunder, attacks. Thor's actions ignite a desire for vengeance, leading a band of crusaders on a dangerous journey across the world as they wage a bloody war against gods and monsters.
Twilight of the Gods Tomorrow will arrive on Netflix on Thursday, September 19, 2024.
A new scene from The Dragon Prince season 7
Fans are desperate for the release of the seventh and final season of The Dragon Prince, one of the best animated shows on Netflix. While fans are sad that the show is coming to an end after six years on Netflix, the finale promises to give us an exciting farewell.
The stakes are higher than ever as Aaravos and Claudia are on a warpath, determined to destroy the cosmic order and overturn life and death. With the fate of the world at stake, our heroes must be willing to sacrifice everything to save it.
The seventh and final season of The Dragon Prince will arrive on December 19, 2024.
New poster of Squid Game Season 2 revealed
Continuing the iconic aesthetics of the first season, the poster for Squid Game's second season continues the theme of death throughout the games. There are no hints or easter eggs of contestant 392 being dragged into their coffins, but we're excited to find out more soon.
Squid Game Season 2 will arrive on Netflix on December 26, 2024.
One more thing: Netflix is set to release another property Squid Game Season 2 at 3pm PT. We will update this post as soon as we have that information.
