The family of a missing Hawaii woman who disappeared in Los Angeles this month is growing desperate after seeing shocking footage of her from more than a week ago — and calling on authorities to step up their search efforts. Is.
Loved ones of 31-year-old Hannah Kobayashi initially became concerned when she sent a series of disturbing messages to family and friends before disappearing. On the way to New York for a “bucket list” trip.
A missing person’s report was filed with the Los Angeles Police Department on Nov. 10, but a family representative said Wednesday that a new video has raised concerns for relatives.
Kobayashi’s aunt, Lari Pidgeon, told The Post that the family recently viewed surveillance footage of Kobayashi in downtown Los Angeles that showed she was with an unidentified man near the Pico subway station on November 11.
She said she could not provide further details about the video because her niece’s disappearance is under investigation, but that it “has caused great concern and has confirmed the family’s suspicions that something is wrong.”
“This has us extremely concerned,” Pidgeon said.
The family hopes the new footage will prompt the LAPD to do more to find Kobayashi.
Pidgeon said the department told him the investigation is ongoing.
“The family is kind of doing their own investigation on the ground,” Pidgeon said.
“Put a little more pressure on (the police) to do as much as the family is doing” in light of the new footage.
Hannah’s sister Sydney Kobayashi wrote online this week that there hasn’t been much help from the LAPD. She said police were “not taking it as seriously as we would hope because my sister is considered an adult who can make her own choices.”
A Daily Mail report It was claimed on Wednesday that the sister said the family was reaching out to celebrity medium Tyler Henry for help, but Pidgeon denied that was the case.
Haiku’s Hannah Kobayashi flew from Maui to Los Angeles on Nov. 8, where she was scheduled to board a connecting flight to the Empire State to visit her aunt. She missed that flight, although surveillance footage shows that she landed at LAX.

In another message, she claimed that she was allegedly fooled “for someone I thought I loved.”
Another message said, “Deep hackers deleted my identity, stole all my funds and have been harassing me since Friday.”
The family had previously said that Kobayashi’s messages were not like him.
Other footage showed Kobayashi at The Grove shopping center in LA’s Fairfax district on November 9 and November 10, as well as video of him returning to LAX, but was seen nearby before not boarding the flight on November 11. Had gone. Metro station, USA Today reported.
The family had earlier said that his phone was switched off since November 11.
