Fawad Khan is starring in a romantic comedy movie opposite Vaani Kapoor, according to Filmfare and Hindustan Times. Aarti Bagdi of Bombairiya fame has been roped in to direct the upcoming film. The shoot will commence in the UK soon, and the makers are expected to announce the movie before filming begins, according to ANI. The rom-com will be shot entirely in the UK, particularly in London.
According to Deadline, the untitled film follows two broken people, who encounter each other by a stroke of luck. The pair end up helping each other heal and ultimately fall in love. The pre-production of the movie has already been locked in. This Bollywood film will mark Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor’s first on-screen collaboration.
Fawad Khan’s upcoming projects
Fawad Khan has several exciting projects under his kitty, one of which is Barzakh. The actor reunites with his Zindagi Gulzar Hai co-star Sanam Saeed in this family drama series which interlaces magic realism with supernatural fantasy. Barzakh will premiere on July 19, 2024, on Zee Zindagi, and air subsequent episodes every Tuesday and Friday.
Fawad Khan will also headline Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo, Netflix’s first Pakistan-themed original, alongside Sanam Saeed and his Humsafar co-star Mahira Khan, who made her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Raees. The drama series is an official adaptation of Farhat Ishtiaq’s 2013 bestselling novel of the same name and follows a Harvard law student, who becomes a recluse after experiencing a life-changing incident, and a talented artist, who is sprightly by nature but has endured a troubled past. The eccentric pair meets in Italy and the story progresses.
