Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta’s wedding is often discussed as an example of a grand wedding in the country. Although the exact cost of their wedding is not known, many believe that the Ambanis spent a substantial amount of money on their eldest son’s wedding to Mona and Russell Mehta’s daughter in 2019. The wedding celebrations began with a pre-wedding event in St. Moritz, where the Chainsmokers and Coldplay’s Chris Martin performed. This was followed by a grand three-day wedding in Mumbai, which was attended by several notable personalities, including former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, billionaire Lakshmi Mittal, and others. Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding bash was nothing short of a fairytale affair. The three-day bash which took place in Jamnagar, Gujarat from March 1st to 3rd in 2024, was attended by several prominent figures from around the world, including Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, and Ivanka Trump, among others. The Ambanis went all out in terms of luxury, offering unique services such as chartered flights, wardrobe services, world-class chefs, luxurious vehicles for pick-up and drop-off, and much more to make the experience a special one. According to a Daily Mail report, the Ambanis, who are the richest family in Asia, spent approximately £120 million (approximately Rs 1260 crore) on the pre-wedding festivities.
