Fox News recorded the second-highest rated third quarter in its history, surpassing rivals ABC and CBS for 91 consecutive quarters topping primetime.
According to ratings agency Nielsen, Fox News garnered 52% of total daytime viewers and 53% of primetime viewers in the third quarter – its highest share since the beginning of 2023.
The most-watched cable news network saw its audience increase 43% in total daytime viewers and 93% in the advertiser-coveted 25-54 demographic during primetime.
Fox’s strong ratings were boosted by its coverage of the presidential race, including the simulcast of the presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump last month. which attracted 14.2 million viewers for the network.
ABC News, which hosted the debate, received 19 million viewers, while NBC received 10.1 million and CBS received 6.2 million.
