Garth Brooks plans to take his legal battle with the woman who accused him of sexual harassment and assault to federal court.
Jen Roe says she was employed as a hair and makeup artist and in May 2019, she flew Brooks to Los Angeles to tape a Grammy tribute performance for Sam Moore.
When they reached the hotel, Roe was “surprised” when she was told she did not have her own room and would have to share it with Brooks. Roe alleged that Brooks constantly exposed her genitals and buttocks, talked about sex, and shared intimate fantasies with Roe. She says the global star would change his clothes in front of her and also send her graphic text messages.
Brooks wants his case heard in federal court, as the damages he is seeking in the suit against him exceed $75K. This would mean he would have a faster trial date and a “wider jury pool,” according to legal expert Trey Lowell, via Entertainment Tonight.
He denies the allegations against him.
