“General Hospital” fans rejoice because the Spencer family is back!

This will be the first time that the mother-son duo will come together on screen once again after 2015.

As the outlet reports, Francis has been shooting scenes for several weeks, with the first episode set to air on Wednesday, October 9. The long-awaited reunion between Laura and Lucky will reportedly last all week.
The Daytime Emmy winner, 62, has starred as the legendary character since 1977 and has appeared in more than 1,700 episodes of “General Hospital.”
Her character, Laura, quickly became a fan favorite and is best known for her romance with Luke Spencer (played by Anthony Geary). The super couple eventually went their separate ways, but not before welcoming two TV kids together during their marriage: son Lucky and daughter Lulu.
In June, it was revealed that Jackson, 42, would return to “General Hospital” to play the role of Lucky. Entertainment Weekly Described as having a long tenure. She made her serial debut in the series in 1993 at the age of 11.
The five-time Daytime Emmy winner’s character originally left Port Charles in 1999 but returned to the show in 2009 and 2015.
In August, Jackson revealed what “General Hospital” fans could expect from Lucky’s return.
“When I came back in 2010, he was a policeman and he was trying to create an identity for himself, and in some ways in opposition to his father,” he explained of his character. “I don’t know exactly where he is now because we’ve just started but it seems like as time has gone on he’s become a little bit like his dad.”
Jackson was first eliminated from the show in 1999. He returned for two years in 2009 before departing to play the role of Avery Barclay in the country music drama “Nashville”.
While Lucky’s TV mother is set to return, the same cannot be said for his onscreen father. Geary’s character tragically dies in a cable car accident in 2022, marking the end of an era.
This is not Francis’s first comeback.
He left “General Hospital” in 2002 after his character became mentally disturbed and believed he had murdered his adoptive father.
After a one-year stint on the rival soap show “The Young and the Restless”, Francis returned in 2013. Francis was brought back as a series regular in 2018.
