A 15-year-old girl fought off a sicko who tried to rape her in a terrifying attack inside a Bronx park, cops say.
The teen was walking along a path in Pelham Bay Park around 5 p.m. Saturday when the male stranger approached and chatted her up, police said.
He then put her in a headlock and dragged her to a wooded area of the park, where he attempted to sexually assault her, authorities said.
The brave teen was able to fend off her assailant, who bolted from the scene, police said.
The victim refused medical attention for minor injuries, cops said.
Her attacker – depicted in a mugshot released by the NYPD late Thursday – is described as between 20 and 30 years old with a medium complexion, slim build, mustache, curly eyelashes and thick eyebrows.
He was last seen wearing a green hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants.
The sick attack came weeks after Kashaan Parks, 39, allegedly lassoed a 45-year-old woman with a belt from behind, dragged her unconscious and raped her between two parked cars at East 152nd Street and Third Avenue in the South Bronx, cops said.
This past week, Thomas Barnaby, 30, was busted for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl in a string of late December incidents inside a building at East 165th Street and River Avenue in the Concourse neighborhood in The Bronx, cops said.
