Your favorite childhood snack growing up.
As of Wednesday, October 23, Goldfish will no longer be Goldfish. The iconic cheddar cracker that smiles at you will officially be renamed “Chilean Sea Bass.”
Chilean Sea Bass Crackers look and taste exactly like goldfish, because they Are Goldfish, only with the name “more adult”.
“We know that the love for goldfish spans every age. The Chilean Sea Bass is a playful nod to adults that the iconic fish-shaped snack is for adults’ tastes too, Goldfish vice president Danielle Brown said in a statement.
And don’t worry – it’s only for a limited time.
The rebrand is designed to emphasize that the favorite Smiling Fish Cracker isn’t just for kids, reminding Gen Z and Millennials who grew up with Goldfish that the snack can still become their favorite.
This isn’t the first time the brand has released something to appeal to older people. Goldfish Old Bay Season Crackers and Goldfish Frank’s RedHot Crackers were also created for adult snackers.
Snackers can move on chillibasscrackers.com To get your hands on the new updated crackers. Fans can purchase two bags of Chilean Sea Bass Crackers for $7.38 while supplies last, and can expect new inventory to drop daily through October 30 at 9am ET.
You can still find that regular goldfish that everyone knows and loves, the one you typically buy from every retailer – even during the Chilean sea bass era.
Goldfish is also getting ready to re-introduce Goldfish Elf Maple Syrup Flavored Grahams this month for the holiday season.
