Google has acknowledged the issue that users have been flagging in which a search for “where can I vote for Harris” produces an interactive map tool to find voting locations, however “where can I vote for Trump” He is not doing this for the sake of questioning “can”.
“The ‘Where to Vote’ panel is triggering some specific searches (because) Harris is also the name of a county in (Texas),” Google said in a statement.
“The solution is coming,” the search giant said, “noting that very few people actually search for polling places this way.”
The interactive display appears to be sponsored by Democracy Works’ Voter Information Project.
Notably, a search for “where can I vote for Kamala” also did not generate an interactive map.
