Let the gramophone derby begin.
The nominations for the 67th annual Grammy Awards, music’s highest honors given by the Recording Academy, were announced Friday morning.
And, as expected, GRAMMY darlings Beyoncetaylor swift and billie eilish Continued her pop-diva dominance.
Three perennial contenders are up for best album of the year: Beyoncé “Cowboy Carter,” Swift for “Department of Tortured Poets” And for Eilish “Fuck me hard and slowly.”
And the highly-acclaimed ladies will also face off for Record of the Year and Song of the Year with Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold’em,” Swift’s “Fortnite” and Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather.”
Last February, Swift became First artist to win Album of the Year four times for “Midnights”, while Eilish performed her “Barbie” song “What Was I Made For?” Won the trophy for Second Best Song of the Year for. And they both lost to Miley Cyrus’s “Flowers” for “Record of the Year.”
Best New Artist of 2024 winner Victoria Monet, Kylie Minogue, Ben Platt, Brandy Clark and Paramore’s Hayley Williams were among the nominees announced at the livestream event on GRAMMY.com.
