Hollywood star Adan Canto has died following a battle with appendiceal cancer. He was 42.
Canto, who was a well-loved singer in Mexico before becoming a Hollywood star, died on Monday, reported Deadline.
He was best-known for his roles in TV series The Cleaning Lady and The Following, the hit movie X-Men: Days of Future Past and political thriller TV series Designated Survivor.

Canton was married to sculptor Stephanie Lindquist and the couple shared two children, Roman Alder and Eve Josephine aged three and one.
He was enjoying success as Arman Morales in The Cleaning Lady when he was diagnosed with cancer.
He was forced to step back from the role as his health deteriorated.
“Adan had a depth of spirit that few truly knew. Those who glimpsed it were changed forever,” Canto’s agents UTA, Entertainment360 and Viewpoint said. “He will be greatly missed by so many.”
Canto was also an accomplished director and directed two short movies in 2014 and 2020.
Following his death, tributes poured in from the world of TV.
“We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of Adan Canto. A wonderful actor and dear friend, we were honoured to have him as part of the Warner Bros. Television and Fox Entertainment families since his US debut in The Following more than a decade ago,” Warner Bros. Television and Fox Entertainment said in a joint statement.
“Most recently, he lit up the screen in The Cleaning Lady with a powerful performance that showcased his artistry, range, depth and vulnerability. This is an unfathomable loss, and we grieve alongside his wife Stephanie, their children and loved ones. We will miss Adan dearly.”
