Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher has revealed she was booted off the popular dating app Hinge.
The former Bond girl’s profile was reported after it was believed that her account was fake, created not by her but by someone impersonating her.
“I tried Hinge,” the 59-year-old told Aussie chef Curtin Stone on his Getting Grilled with Curtis Stone podcast.

“I thought, you know, I’m gonna say to the universe that I am open and vulnerable and I’m putting myself out there.
“That’s what I thought my gesture of joining the Hinge app would be — and then they kicked me off.”
The popular app uses algorithms to create better “matches” for its participants.
The actress contacted Hinge’s support team requesting a refund for the subscription she had paid.
They advised her that they had believed her account was an impersonation.
“They thought I was pretending to be Teri Hatcher,” the actress said.
“I complained. I was like, ‘Can I have my money back? You can kick me off’.
“Anyway, they apologised.”
After the complication, Hatcher said she was “over it” and chose to give up on the app.
“I’m definitely done with the dating apps,” she said.
”I feel like if there’s any way I’ll go somewhere and meet someone, that’s what it’s going to have to be.”
Stone asked Hatcher if she had given celebrity dating app, Raya, a go, to which she replied: “Those guys only want to date 30-year-olds”.
“I don’t meet people. I don’t meet anyone. If you come up with someone, let me know,” Hatcher told Curtis.
The apparent lack of appropriate talent in the dating pool does not seem to bother the actress, who said she is “happy” and living “a really full life”.
The star was married to actor Marcus Leithold from 1988 to 1989 and actor Jon Tenney from 1994 to 2003.
