The Mail Categories feature in iOS 18.2 automatically sorts your incoming emails into four categories: Primary, Transactions, Updates and Promotions. The Primary category shows personal and time-sensitive emails. The Transactions section keeps track of order confirmations, receipts, and shipping information. The Updates section displays news, newspapers and social notifications. Finally, your coupons, deals, and sales emails will appear in the promotions section.

It’s worth knowing that if there is time-sensitive information in the Transactions, Updates, or Promotions section, they will be displayed under the primary message list.

But Apple Intelligence-Compatible iPhone and iPadYou will get an additional option for priority messages. This feature shows you the most important emails like dinner invitations or your boarding passes. You won’t find this feature on devices that don’t support Apple Intelligence.
