I work at a prestigious fintech company where everyone goes to Ivy League or prestigious schools. I went to a good public university and graduate school, but its GPA wasn’t very high, and I feel like an outsider. I just want to seem valuable and worthy. How do I do this?
It sounds more like your own insecurities. The company hired you, right?
You are. You fit in.
Your degree and GPA and the degrees of your coworkers do not define you or them.
Now everyone cares about what kind of person you are and what quality work product you can bring to the table.
Overall, there are fewer CEOs from Ivy League schools and prestigious institutions – and some of the most successful entrepreneurs didn’t even attend college, or complete their degrees.
So don’t get trapped in your own confusion.
And if any of your colleagues are complacent about their education, that’s their problem.
