A woman was in for a surprise when she ordered a Christmas stocking for her partner – receiving a sock so small it looked like a baby shoe.
Leah Hartley, 20, saw a festive stocking on Teemu and bought it as a surprise for her partner Matthew Shanahan, 21.
But when it arrived two weeks later, the stocking was strangely small – unable to hold a single gift inside.
Leah said the stockings were advertised as full size.
The young couple from Cardiff, Wales admitted to being “disappointed” that the short stocking was not fit for purpose.
But he’s found humor in the situation – instead hanging it from a branch of his tree as if it were some small thing.
Leah said: “When it arrived, I was expecting a big parcel and it was small.
“To be honest, I was a little heartbroken! You couldn’t fit anything in there – that definitely shocked me.
“This is our first Christmas together and I wanted to make it special, so I’m feeling a little disappointed.”
He added, “But what I find strange about it is how small it is.
“I hang it on the Christmas tree now because it’s just like a little toy.”
A spokesperson for Teemu said: “We are sorry to hear that Ms Hartley is not satisfied with her purchase.
“At Temu, we stand by our satisfaction guarantee and offer refunds for items that are damaged, not as described, or fail to arrive.
“Unfortunately, we could not locate the refund request under the given PO number.
“If Ms. Hartley reaches out to our customer service team, we will gladly assist her further.”
