Talk about a witch hunt.
A bride-to-be didn't invite 25 friends and family members to her Halloween wedding after her mother and grandmother branded the October event “satanic.”
Bride in Distress A recent complaint was made on the Reddit forum This demon has been hidden in the details for two whole years, as the All Hallows' Eve episode was announced long in advance, giving haters plenty of time to rant about it.
But some people caused a stir just six weeks before the ceremony.
“Suddenly my mother and grandmother decided this wedding was satanic and they wanted me to make last minute changes,” the woman wrote, adding that their answer was “a firm 'no.'
In retaliation, about half of the mother's side of the family “thought they would look cute and said they weren't coming” because of what the bride called a “power struggle.”
Rather than object to their horrible behavior, the bride actually became a tough guy herself by not inviting the group — which included her sister, who was serving as a bridesmaid.
He banished his ghosts by sending an “uninvited invitation” to more than two dozen people who had cried foul and said bad things to him.
The bride also made sure that members of the skeleton crew at the venue would not be allowed to enter the party – where she planned to wear a “light blue corpse bride dress” with hair to match.
“My aunt (who was one of the uninvited people) told me that people are allowed to disagree with me and that it does not mean they can withdraw the invitation from a wedding they planned to attend,” the bride wrote.
“I told my aunt she has two years to complain but saying you are not going six weeks before my wedding is nonsense… I will not be bothered by my family over this.”
Many people in the comments said the bride shouldn't be upset about his actions.
“You've spent two years planning your wedding, and this is your special day. It's natural to feel disappointed when people try to impose their beliefs at the last minute,” said one.
Another said, “They already said they are not coming, so why are they complaining now?”
“Have a good time with guests who aren't badasses,” a third declared for the Monster Mash.
