Disney on disaster.
Cecily Bauchmann is apologizing after revealing she was going to Disney World – as others were preparing for Hurricane Milton.
Earlier this week, the influencer posted a now-deleted video highlighting her packing process for a family trip to Florida. In the clip, the mother of four revealed she was due to leave for the airport in just an hour despite the southern state preparing for the deadly storm.
On Thursday – after several days of feedback – the manufacturer took it tiktok And Instagram Story and shared that she has left the tour and apologized to followers.
“Hi guys, I wanted to make a video from my last video before I go to Florida and explain everything,” Bauchman began. “My family is not in Florida anymore. We are now in Nashville, and we left Florida after the evacuation order was issued. “We planned this trip to Florida during fall break.”
He added, “We called our hotel and were advised that it was still under Hawaii flood watch and given the location we were staying at, we would be fine.”
The influencer took some time to reflect on his decision and admitted that he wasn’t fully aware of what was going to happen with Milton.
“That decision, do I regret it? Absolutely,” Bauchman added. “I’m very inexperienced with the way storms develop and how fast they can develop. Looking back, this is something I wish I could change. The storm soon intensified into a Category 5 hurricane and NASA declared it the fastest-moving hurricane in history.”
Bauchman has children Capri, 10, James, 9, Gracie, 6, and Jackson, 4, with husband Sam Bauchman.
Cecily said once the storm was declared a Category 5 hurricane, her family decided to evacuate their home. Referring to the devastation caused by Hurricane Milton to people and their families, she revealed that she is now investing in helping relief organizations.
In a follow-up Instagram Story, she posted a resource link for followers.
She concluded, “It’s something I will support and continue to do.” “I can’t continue life without posting this video. Hurricane Milton weighs heavily on my heart now and will continue to do so. Thanks for watching. love you guys.”
Critics savaged the influencer when he initially revealed his plans for The Happiest Place on Earth.
“I just had to get through Helen and there’s no way I’m going to put my kids in the direct path of the storm. Especially not this one,” someone replied at the time.
Another person said, “Influencers are better off going to Disney even after Hurricane Milton completely devastated Florida,” while a third wrote that they had “lost all my respect” for her.
However, some people supported him after his apology.
One person shared in his Video“I think his apology was genuine, and he probably regrets his decision because of the public humiliation. She probably still feels bad about people losing their homes, as who doesn’t?
one more social media users “I commend him for addressing this and explaining his intentions,” he said in one clip. I don’t believe he had anything but good intentions. I admire them for taking this situation and using it to shed light and raise funds for hurricane victims and relief efforts.
Fulfilling Bauchmann’s support, a tiktoker Posted: “I don’t think they should be cancelled. I think when you are in the public eye and what you say/do doesn’t get a good response, you should take accountability and address it.”
