Ed Westwick, who is popularly known as Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl, recently proposed to his lady love, actress Amy Jackson. The dreamy ski trip proposal took place in Gstaad, Switzerland, as Ed popped the question to Amy on Peak Walk, the snowy suspension bridge, according to the LA Times.
Amy and Ed have been together for a few years now, and for the past 9 months, the newly engaged couple has been working non-stop on revamping their joint abode, which is a lavish English countryside mansion. Jackson had revealed on Instagram last year that in April, the 2.0 actress and Westwick purchased their dream home, and how it was in need of a major makeover: “We found the most idyllic country house, surrounded by greenery and FRESH air to breathe (no hard feelings London!) The lil old lady who lived there before had called it home for the last 35 years and you can feel the love as soon as you enter the door. That being said… it needed a revamp – a BIG REVAMP.”
Recently, Ed Westwick shared how making his and Amy Jackson’s dream home a reality was the “biggest project” of his life: “From countless apartments with poetry written on the walls and freaky neighbors to mansions in the hills. Nothing felt like home. This does. @iamamyjackson it’s an honor and pleasure. Your eye is incredible.”
Amy and Ed have since shared many photos and videos that give fans a virtual tour of their carefully curated residence, which has a rustic-modern countryside feel.
