Regarding apocalyptic fiction, Mad Max is one of those franchises that amazed me in multiple ways. The apocalyptic settings, the weird humor, and the custom vehicles with absurd attachments, everything about Mad Max was as stunning as possible. Now, after the release of Mad Max: Fury Road in 2015, we have another coming out titled Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. Now the question is, is Furiosa a prequel to Mad Max? Find out all you need to know in this article!
If you remember the plot of Mad Max: Fury Road released in 2015, we see Furiosa and Max Rockatansky go on a quest to find somewhere only known as the Green Place. When they reach the said place they find it to be uninhabitable. A woman who lives there says that she remembers Furiosa as one of the early inhabitants of the Green Place who was taken from them as a child. The trailer shows us this very abduction taking place, confirming that Furiosa is a Prequel to Mad Max Fury Road.

Moreover, the trailer description posted by Warner Bros. states:
As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.

This description further reinforces that Furiosa will show us what happened before the two protagonists bumped into each other and embarked on this quest to find Furiosa’s childhood home. The trailer shows us some epic action sequences and some very well-done VFX sequences so let’s wait till May 24 to witness this revival of Mad Max in theaters!
