Jelly Roll has been persistent in his efforts to lose weight after admitting that he was addicted to food in the same way he was addicted to drugs.

Larios reveals what the country music star went through to reach such a huge milestone in his weight loss journey.
“We just passed the halfway point of the tour and Jelly is crushing it,” Larios said. “We’re either moving [around] Arena, playing basketball, boxing. “He just lost 100 pounds.”
Larios noted that Jelly Roll, real name Jason Bradley DefordHas been focusing on a high-protein diet and shared some of the meals he prepared for the artiste.
One of Jelly Roll’s favorite pre-show snacks is a banana with Manuka honey, stevia, and dark chocolate shavings.
Jelly Roll says this quick meal gives him “fuel before a show.” Larios’ other major preparation for the singer is his appearance on Nashville Hot Chicken. He “takes the oil and the batter out of it,” so the jelly rolls still get a good amount of protein.
“So it tricks your brain into thinking it’s nice greasy Nashville deep-fried hot chicken. He’ll feel like he’s eating at home,” Larios said.

“Right now the burden for me is a mountain in front of me, and I’m taking it, learning. I am very diligent about it. I’m taking it really seriously, I’m drinking a lot of water, I’m chilling, I’m eating right, I’m doing good,” Jelly Roll told Shetty.
“I just have to fight the pirates on my shoulder, you know them late nights, I’m addicted to food, man. I’ve probably never said it so honestly, but this is a podcast to be real about it.
“I have had a bad relationship with food since birth. I’ve never had a good relationship with food. There was never any good example of this around me. I have always said that I believe obesity is directly linked to mental health,” he added. “I know how easy it is for people to say, ‘Quit eating so much, just exercise. It’s that simple.'”
He added, “I wish I looked at food that way.” “But I understand it from an addict’s perspective, because I know what addiction is and how I struggle with food, the same way I struggle with codeine. It’s like I struggled with cocaine.”
Jelly Roll reported that it took him “years” to be in the same room with other people who used cocaine before he was no longer able to do so on his own. Now, he feels the same way with food.
He chooses to keep all food out of his green room: “I needed to change my whole relationship with the way I look at food,” Jelly Roll said.
In April, Jelly Roll’s wife Exo revealed that the singer was taking a break from social media due to negative comments about his weight. He returned to Instagram on May 9.
“My husband got off the Internet because he’s so tired of being bullied about his weight,” she said on her “Dumb Blonde” podcast. “It makes me cry because he’s the sweetest angel baby.”
“My husband doesn’t show it to you guys, but I’m about to have a very vulnerable moment here,” Bunny EXO told her listeners. “It hurts him.”
