Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary with a vow renewal ceremony at the same hotel where they first got married.
On Saturday, TV personality McCarthy, 51, and “Blue Bloods” star Wahlberg, 55, shared videos on their Instagram Stories showing them celebrating their wedding anniversary at the historic riverfront Baker Hotel in St. Charles, Illinois — the same location where the couple married a decade ago on Aug. 31.
“Happy Anniversary! (yes, we did something again)”, Wahlberg wrote on a photo of himself holding McCarthy and looking into her eyes, and tagged the hotel and their wedding officiant, Ray McElroy.
Though McCarthy and Wahlberg married in front of 90 guests at their first ceremony in 2014, their re-wedding ceremony was a much smaller affair attended by just the two of them, McElroy, and his wife Michelle McElroy.
The New Kids on the Block member posted a photo of himself and McCarthy at the ceremony with McElroy and Michelle, writing, “Thank you, Ray and Michelle! Love you both.”
Wahlberg also shared photos of himself and his wife along the St. Charles Fox River outside the Baker Hotel.
McCarthy wore a dark blue sleeveless satin dress for the occasion, while Wahlberg wore a suit of the same color with a black dress shirt.
McCarthy and Wahlberg celebrated their anniversary with a joint Instagram post, which also featured a video of the pair. In the clip, the two were seen holding hands in a hallway while wearing casual black outfits. The video then showed the two in their vow renewal outfits as they kissed each other and walked down the hallway hand in hand.
He wrote, “Moving on to our next ten years! Happy 10th anniversary baby! So excited to share the rest of forever with you! A decade gone, eternity to go!”
Wahlberg and McCarthy's ceremony also included a tiny replica of their original wedding cake. “The Masked Singer” judge posted a video showing a three-tiered white wedding cake decorated with red roses.
McCarthy later shared another Instagram post to mark the pair's anniversary, uploading a compilation of photos and videos of herself with Wahlberg over the years.
“How do I feel like a newlywed after 10 years of marriage?” she wrote in the emotional caption of her post, which was based on Etta James' classic song “At Last.”
She added, “It's easy when you're married to Donnie Wahlberg. I love you, mister. Words can't describe the life of love and laughter we've had over the last ten years.”
McCarthy shared a long list of all the things Wahlberg has done for her during their marriage, including “my support”, “my soul mate”, “my best friend”, “my support”, “my inspiration”, “my peace in the storm”, and “my joy in every moment”.
“I will always love you,” she said. “Happy anniversary my love.”
McCarthy and Wahlberg have renewed their vows every year since they first married.
In 2022, Wahlberg posted about the tradition on Instagram, writing, “Some people ask 'Why do you renew your vows every year?'. These are the same people who also ask 'How do you keep your marriage so fresh?'”
Appearing on the “Let's Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa” podcast last month, McCarthy opened up About your annual vow renewal.
“I used to make fun of it when celebrities did it or when regular people renewed their vows,” the “Masked Singer” judge admitted. “I used to think, ‘That’s so funny and weird. You’re married. Just stay married.’ And then Donnie — that’s a tradition that Donnie wanted to enforce.
“He says, ‘I want to remind each other of our vows’ and talk about that — just like our pastor reminisces about the year and gives us something to think about as the year goes by.
“So, there is something good in it.”
The former “Singled Out” co-host added that she and Wahlberg are “very much in love.”
“We are angry at each other,” he said.
