Now, exactly a month later, the prolific Alice in Chains frontman has announced that he will be playing venues across North America on his Winter 2025 tour. ‘I Want Blood Tour’ In support of their upcoming album of the same name.
At the start of the nationwide run, the “Cut You In” singer is expected to arrive in Sayreville, NJ Starland Ballroom On Saturday, February 1, in New York City Irving Plaza Wednesday, February 5 and in Huntington, NY Paramount Theater On Tuesday, February 11.
At all 2025 shows, Cantrell, 58, will be joined by special guest Filter.
“I Want Blood” is the grunge rocker’s fourth solo album and features big names Guns N’ Roses McKagan, Metallica’s Rob Trujillo, Faith No More’s Mike Bordin, Better Lovers’ Greg Puccito on the liner notes.
Prior to the release of this record, Cantrell dropped “Brighton” in 2021. Prior to this, Cantrell last released a record in 2002.

“I Want Blood” is scheduled to be released on Friday, October 18.
Before the record’s release, Cantrell dropped a pair of singles. First up was the moody 4.5-minute “Afterglow”, reminiscent of their grunge days. For our money, it’s a melodic headbanger in the best possible way.
Most recently, they released the hard-charging, fist-pumping title track “I Want Blood.”
