Jimin’s Fan-Favorite Song Soars Nearly 2,400% In Sales

Just a few weeks ago, Jimin dropped his new solo album, Muse. As the short set arrived, the BTS star promoted the song “Who” as the latest single, and fans flocked to make it a hit. Now, as that track begins slowly backtracking on charts all around the world, another tune from the musician’s EP seems like it could be headed for its moment of glory very, very soon.

“Be Mine,” one of the seven tracks featured on Muse, is surging in popularity. The tune’s sales sum has grown considerably from one week to the next, and there’s a chance its forward march could continue.

In the past tracking week in America, “Be Mine” sold just under 2,400 copies. That number is according to Luminate, the company that gathers sales and streaming data and then delivers those numbers to Billboard to compile the charts.

“Be Mine” didn’t sell nearly as well the week prior. During the frame before this most recent one, Jimin’s tune sold only about 100 copies. This means the song’s sales sum grew by a little less than 2,400% in only a matter of days.

Throughout the several weeks that “Be Mine” has been available in the U.S., it has sold a total of 5,400 copies. Nearly half of those purchases occurred in the past seven-day period alone. That’s impressive, considering the tune wasn’t brand new, and it hasn’t officially been chosen as a single.

“Be Mine” almost returned to the Digital Song Sales chart this week, though it missed out on doing so by a small margin. This frame, the lowest-ranking track on Billboard’s list of the bestselling cuts in the nation is “The Door” by Teddy Swims. That track sold only a few dozen more copies than Jimin’s.

The BTS superstar debuted “Be Mine” on the Digital Song Sales chart the week it was new to fans. The tune opened at No. 21 on the list, and then it disappeared again a few days later. With any luck—and with continued support from die-hard followers—the song could rise again.
