Podcast king Joe Rogan said mysterious drones that have become buzzing People around the tristate area are “really concerned” after watching a video Sunday that offered an unverified theory about unmanned vehicles sniffing out harmful substances.
John Ferguson, CEO of a remote aircraft systems company in Kansas, claimed in a removed TikTok video on Saturday that drones are attempting to “sniff out” gas leaks, “radioactive material” or something else on the ground.
“The only reason why you would fly an unmanned aircraft at night is because you’re looking for something,” Ferguson said in the clip, adding that he does not believe drones are nefarious.
The CEO said, “So I believe they’re trying to sniff out something on the ground – gas leaks, radioactive material, anything.”
Ferguson said the theory was his best guess based on his expertise and his opinion on the drone mystery that has gripped the East Coast and admitted “I haven’t bounced it off anyone.”
“So if you think it’s bull, whatever, that’s a good thing. I don’t want to spread misinformation, because we know there’s a lot going on around,” he said in the TikTok video.
But his theory resonated with many online, including Rogan, who offered his two cents on the drones that have plagued New Jersey and New York residents for weeks.
