Media Take Out reported that Linda Mathis has filed for divorce from her husband because he was placing more importance on his career and social justice work than her. Linda, who has been married to Judge Mathis for 39 years, has finally had enough.
But Linda hasn't moved out of the couple's Los Angeles mansion yet – so there's still hope for a reconciliation.
And Judge Mathis is doing his best to make things right. He spoke to TMZ yesterday and promised to do anything to get her back. Listen:
According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Linda Reese Mathis filed for divorce from the TV judge on Thursday (August 22) after 39 years of marriage. Linda cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split, which she said is due on July 17, 2024.
Linda sought spousal support, but it's unclear if the two had a prenuptial agreement. The two married in June 1985, before Greg became the star of the award-winning reality court show.
Linda and Gregg have four children — Jade, 39, Camara, 36, Gregg Jr., 35, and Amir, 34, who are all adults, so there would be no need for a custody agreement.
The divorce news came after Greg and Linda appeared together at the Influencers Brunch in March. In an interview with Baller Alert, the two discussed their family dynamics and the return of their family reality show Mathis Family Matters.
