Years-old comments about Justin Bieber “protecting” Billie Eilish from the music industry have resurfaced. Sean “Diddy” Combs arrested Allegedly Sex trafficking and racketeering,
Bieber, 30, shared his feelings for Eilish in 2020 Talking to Zane Lowe of Apple Music Ahead of the release of his album, “Changes.”
A tearful Bieber told Lowe about his experiences in the music industry as a young artist. After achieving overnight success at just 14, the “Baby” singer signed to Combs' protégé Usher's record label in 2008.
“It was really hard for me being young and in the industry and not knowing where to go, and everybody would tell me they loved me, and then in a second they'd turn their back on you,” Bieber said.
“I just want to protect her,” the singer said of Eilish, who was only 18 at the time of Bieber's interview.
“I don't want her to have to go through what I had to go through. I don't wish that on anybody.”
Like Bieber, Eilish also reached the heights of superstardom at a young age. Her debut album, “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?”, reached No. 1 in the US and spawned several hit singles.
Speaking about his personal struggles, which came to light publicly after he became an adult, Bieber said that at certain points “it was bad … it was dark.”
“Think about how young I was and how easily influenced I was and everyone was always telling me how great I was,” he said.
“I just want people to understand the psychology behind why I could potentially have issues in my life.”
The pop hitmaker also confessed that he's “living in shame” with all of this stuff from his past.
As for Eilish, he hopes he can be “a good example” for her. “I'll be here for her if she ever needs me. I'm just a call away.”
Though Bieber didn't name Combs in the interview, many on social media have drawn their own conclusions about who the singer is referring to, especially since a video shows Combs. A “scary” exchange between The photo of Diddy and 15-year-old Bieber has been gaining attention again recently.
“He's spending 48 hours with Diddy, where he's spending time or what he's doing, we can't disclose that,” Combs said in the video.
“But it’s definitely a 15-year-old’s dream.”
“I have been given custody of him,” Combs added. “He's signed with Usher and I had legal guardianship of Usher when he made his first album.”
“I don't have legal protection from them,” the music giant said [Bieber] But for the next 48 hours he's with me, and we're going to go absolutely crazy.”
In another video that recently resurfaced, Khloe Kardashian recalled Meeting Bieber at one of Combs' A-list parties In 2014 it was said that “half the guests were naked.”
