Justin Timberlake pleaded guilty to a minor charge of drunken driving on Friday in a deal with Suffolk County, New York prosecutors. in relation to an incident that happened earlier this year,
Sag Harbor Village Judge Carl Irace sentenced Timberlake to 25 to 40 hours of community service, ordered the pop star to issue a public safety declaration and pay a $500 fine.
The judge's sentence was agreed upon by the defense and the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.

The community service can be done with a non-profit organization of Timberlake's choosing and must be completed within one year.
When the judge asked Timberlake if he was willing to accept these terms, he replied, “I would be proud to do so.”
Timberlake entered the courthouse just after 11 a.m. He was wearing a black shirt, brown pants and a pearl necklace. He was surrounded by security personnel and his lawyer. The pop star did not answer any questions.
At his last court hearing in August, Timberlake pleaded not guilty to a charge of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor. If convicted, he could have faced a maximum penalty of one year in prison and a $2,500 fine.
In New York, a blood alcohol content greater than .05 is “legal evidence that you are intoxicated”, while “a BAC of .08 or higher is evidence of intoxication”, according to the state. Department of Motor Vehicles.
Timberlake was arrested in Sag Harbor in June after police said he left a bar at The American Hotel after midnight, drove onto Main Street in his 2025 BMW and failed to stop at a stop sign and stay in his lane.
Police also said Timberlake failed field sobriety tests and refused breath tests multiple times, saying, “No, I'm not taking a chemical test.”
Timberlake's lawyer later disputed that the artist was intoxicated, and argued that he should not have been arrested.
He is performing throughout the summer with his Forget Tomorrow Tour. His next appearance is on September 28 in New Jersey.
