Timberlake was stopped in the early morning hours of June 18 when Sag Harbor police allege he violated a stop sign and swerved out of his lane. He then refused to submit to a Breathalyzer test three times, police allege.

On Friday, Timberlake appeared in court in Sag Harbor and pleaded guilty to driving under the influence (DWAI), a less serious charge than the DWI charge against him.
The deal includes a $500 fine, a $260 surcharge and 25 hours of community service. The judge also suspended his license for 90 days.
As part of his plea, Timberlake publicly apologized outside of court.
“I made this mistake, but I hope that the people who are watching and listening right now can learn from this mistake,” he said. “After having even one drink – don't get behind the wheel of a car.”
During a three-minute address to the media, Timberlake admitted, “I try to hold myself to a very high standard — but this wasn't the same.”
“There are so many options. Call a friend, take an Uber. There are so many travel apps. Take a taxi,” he added. “I think in the end, I would say we can all be safer out there. I'm going to do my part. I hope everybody else does their part. Thank you.”
