A kangaroo jumped through the door of a KFC in southwest Washington, surprising employees and customers.
Video footage shows the kangaroo hopping around tables inside the Busselton KFC, while another video shows the kangaroo exiting the fast food restaurant and walking through the parking lot.
The TikTok video was captioned, “Only in Straya,” prompting many to rush to the comments section.
“Skippy needs his own Zinger box,” one person commented.
Another wrote: “This is the most Australian thing I've ever seen coming from Australia.”
“Skippy would you please take a three piece meal,” added another.
A KFC spokesperson confirmed the bizarre incident to Yahoo News.
“After hanging out at the restaurant for a bit, they decided it was time to head back,” the spokesperson told Yahoo News.
“We can confirm that no customers, team members or marsupials were injured as a result.”
The visit comes after a koala was spotted wandering around the Meeniyan IGA in regional Victoria last week.
Videos and photos show the koala wandering the aisles, even climbing onto herb and spice stands, and taking a closer look at newspaper stands and children's hats.
Store owner Katelyn Sherwell told Today that the koala has a “little nest in the trees in the central part of town”, but he “got right up to the (store's) door and was very determined to get in”.
