Karen Reed, the Massachusetts woman accused of murdering her cop boyfriend, has broken her silence – claiming her innocence and accusing police of a cover-up surrounding his death.
Reed, 44, spoke for the first time for an interview with ABC's 20/20 — which is set to air in full Friday night — following the 2022 death of Boston police officer John O'Keefe.
“I jumped out of the passenger seat and fell onto the road. His eyes were closed and he had blood on his face in multiple places and he was still — not stiff, but still,” Reed said of the moment she claimed she found her boyfriend lying on the road.
Reed is accused of running over O’Keefe with his car in January 2022 and leaving her to die in a snowstorm.
