Katherine Heigl made fun of Her “Grey’s Anatomy” days In a new commercial for bladder leakage products.
The 46-year-old “Firefly Lane” actress plays herself in 60 second spot It dropped Monday for the brand Poise, which makes women’s incontinence products.
In the ad, Heigl is seen having lunch with a friend and her friend’s 10-year-old son.
After Heigl tells a joke, her friend laughs – a little too much – and becomes visibly sad.
“I pee,” she admits to Heigl.

The incident is enough to distract the 10-year-old from his tablet and declare, “This is so embarrassing,” prompting Heigl to send the child to school.
“You will deprive your mother of even a moment of happiness, just because she burst out laughing? And, by the way, it’s kind of your fault,” she tells the kid, who then asks why he’s to blame.
“Well, I’m glad you asked,” she says. “You see, when we have children, the muscles and ligaments that support the pelvic floor or bladder can become weak. And then, of course, with perimenopause and menopause, there is a decrease in estrogen, which can cause further control problems.
“But luckily, I have a poise,” she adds, pulling out one of the brand’s products.
“Perfect for my leaky bladder,” the mother tells her son, clearly trying to make him uncomfortable.
“You’re embarrassing yourself,” he tells her.
“No, we’re embarrassing you,” Mom replies happily.
Heigl says that embarrassing her children is “part of a mother’s purpose in life.”
The friend then puts the jokes aside and asks Heigl, “By the way, how did you know all this?”
“Well, I used to be a doctor,” the actress replies candidly, referring to her time Playing Dr. Izzie Stevens on “Grey’s Anatomy” From 2005 to 2010.
“No, you didn’t,” the kid retorts, leading to a staredown between the two and the ad ends.
In coordination with the ad launch, Heigl talked about her experience with perimenopause and “the giggle dribble” in a new interview published Wednesday.

“When I talk to my friends, we all laugh about it,” Heigl said. People,
“So I said, ‘Oh no, that won’t do,'” she continued. “I don’t mind anyone feeling any kind of embarrassment or shame about it because [perimenopause] This is a natural progression of female existence and I want us to not take it too seriously and be able to laugh at it.
“I will happily speak out about it if it helps other women feel comfortable,” she said.
Heigl, mother of three, shares two adopted daughters – Naleigh, 15, and Adelaide, 12 – and a son – Joshua, 7 – with husband Josh Kelly.
