“I’m not even thinking about that. “I don’t think I’ve given it any thought,” Costner said.
“So, we’ll let it go,” he said.
As for whether he’s in touch with Grimes, 40, who played his son Kayce Dutton on “Yellowstone,” the star shut down the conversation.
“No. Our conversation is over,” he replied.
Costner’s comments come after Grimes revealed that the pair have not spoken since Costner’s sudden exit from the show midway through production of the fifth and final season of “Yellowstone,” sparking rumors of a rift.
“I haven’t talked to him since,” Grimes said. Men’s Health MH Flex In a profile published on Tuesday. “It’s not a case of any hard feelings or anything. It’s just Kevin Costner.”

Costner, who played Dutton family patriarch John Dutton on the hit show, departed to focus on directing and acting in his two “Horizon: An American Saga” films.
Reports also circulated that Costner’s exit was due to a feud with “Yellowstone” producer Taylor Sheridan. However, the star has denied any kind of rift between the two.
According to Grimes, the “Yellowstone” cast was surprised by Costner’s decision to leave.
“None of us saw it the way it happened, and obviously there were reports about possible explosions behind the scenes or whatever,” Grimes told Men’s Health. “But just like life, man, these things happen, they happen fast, and they can’t be predicted.”

Costner’s character was killed in a murder-for-hire plot in the season 5 part 2 premiere, which aired on November 10. The next day, the actor said he learned the news that morning.
“I did not see it. I heard it’s a suicide,” Costner said on SiriusXM. “The Michael Smarkonish Program.”
“That way I won’t have to rush to see it.”
