Jennifer Aniston has debuted a new, shorter haircut at the 2024 Golden Globes — and fans say it’s giving off major Rachel vibes.
In the 1990s, Aniston’s haircut as Rachel Green on hit TV sitcom Friends was hugely influential.

The honey-blonde, mid-length, slightly feathered bob was simply dubbed “The Rachel” — and women in their hordes took pictures of it to their hairdresser, hoping to recreate Aniston’s look.
At the Golden Globes on Sunday night, the 54-year-old stunned on the red carpet in a black strapless Dolce and Gabbana gown.
But fans were mostly focused on her hair, which had been cut shorter to resemble that famous 90s cut.
“Jennifer Aniston, short hair, I’m obsessed,” one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
“Updating the Rachel cut for 2024!” enthused another.
“JENNIFER ANISTON OMG,” gushed a third.
Popular as “The Rachel” was back in the day, Aniston once claimed she wasn’t much of a fan of the haircut at the time.
In a 2011 interview with Allure, she jokingly described the man who gave her the haircut, Chris McMillan, as “the bane of my existence”.
“He started that damn Rachel, which was not my best look,” she said.
“How do I say this?
“I think it was the ugliest haircut I’ve ever seen.”
But clearly she’s changed her mind a little about the hairstyle since then — and followers of the actress were not unhappy about it.
“Jennifer Aniston is flawless as always,” one fan wrote.
“Jennifer Aniston is the best example of ageing like fine wine. Her hair,” wrote another.
Although Aniston wowed on the red carpet, the actress did not feature in this year’s Golden Globe nominations.
That’s despite her most recent series The Morning Show, featuring a much-talked-about sex scene with Mad Men star Jon Hamm, receiving strong reviews.
She did, however, win a Golden Globe back in 2003 for Friends.
